Kurt Warner: No regrets about NFL retirement

kurt warnerFormer Arizona Cardinals QB Kurt Warner said he has no regrets about stepping away from the game now that his former team is now playing games without him. "Not at all," Warner told the Arizona Republic.

Warner, who signed on this week to add Fox NFL game broadcasts to his TV duties, said he watched Saturday's preseason debut for the Cardinals and did not feel a pull to be on the field.

"It wasn't difficult watching at all, because I didn't feel like I was supposed to be there," he told the paper. "While I still feel attached to it to some degree, it didn't feel like I was missing out on something."

The Cardinals are giving former first-round pick Matt Leinart the first crack at replacing Warner as they embark for a third straight crown in the NFC West, which was left wide open after Warner's departure.
