Jessica McLean is a singer, songwriter, musician who longs to be open and honest about her own struggles and experiences, in order to relate with an audience. She learned to play the guitar at thirteen years old and began writing songs soon after that. Through worship, she learned how to truly connect and have a relationship with God. Each song on her debut album, "Designed to Dream," stems from a personal struggle and desire to seek God's will in her life. Her one desire is to tell the world who Jesus is and to relate to young girls who are struggling with the pressures to fit into this world. Jessica is married to Nic McLean, director of the evangelical surf film "Noah's Arc" and currently resides in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

Jessica spent most of 2006 traveling all over the United States, South Africa, Australia, California, and Hawaii with an evangelical surf ministry out of San Diego, CA called Walking On Water. She also began to record Designed to Dream at Master Sound Studio in Virginia Beach,Virginia. The album was produced by Tom Jones who took her music to a whole new level. All of the faithfulness and hard work led to an October release of her debut album.

Since the release of her album tons of excitement has been added to Jessica McLean's calendar. She has been traveling on tour and joining other ministries to promote the new album. Jessica is preparing to do an East Coast concert series with the Christian Surfers Organization. The Designed To Dream tour will reach out and encourage young people to use the gifts God has given them, to live their dreams and to give God their whole life.

The album has only been released for a month and is spreading like wildfire. Her online distribution and fan base is quickly growing as well. Jessica's music can be found on indieheaven.com, cmcentral.com, cdbaby.com, rhapsody.com, walkingonwater.org, bandfarm.com, indiecommunity.com, and myspace. Her store distribution is growing as well. Her music is being distributed throughout the Heaven & Earth Christian Bookstores chain, Agape Christian Bookstore, and many surf shops along coastal areas including California, Virginia, and North Carolina. In addition, Jessica recently won VH-1's Song of the Year Contest for "Again."

Jessica uses her music to reach out to others and that is the biggest reason why she is so excited about the album "Designed To Dream." It provides an outlet for her to share the love of Christ with more people through music and her own personal relationship with God.
