DKUN
FROST
Kevin Wiggins a.ka. Dkun Frost has been ministering the Gospel of
Jesus Christ for over 10 years. As one being called to preach and reach
all people, he especially has a heart to reach the youth and young adults
in this world.
"As cliché as it may sound, the children of this world
ARE our future, and the investments and relationships we make right
now will ultimately shape the foundation of that future," says
Wiggins.
Wiggins points out that many people only want to focus on the negative
things in the world that are impacting our youth and young adults, but
he wants to offer a ministry that accentuates everything that is right
about God. That’s where his music steps in.
Dkun (Pronounced "Deacon") started rapping in 1989 but stopped
rapping in 1991 when he became a Christian. It wasn't until nine years
later that he picked up the mic again. "Back then I didn’t
have the knowledge and wisdom to see how this form of music could be
used to impact our youth and young adults, but as time went on I felt
the call of God upon my life to utilize this gift for the building of
God’s kingdom," said Wiggins.
Since 2000, he has been busy taking the Gospel of Christ to this generation
of youth and young adults through his music while sharing the stage
with some of the biggest names in Christian rap today: Mars Ill, Canton
Jones, Ziklag Boyz, Lamar, Verbal Witness, Sev Statik, Corey Red &
Precise…..and many others. Dkun was also was invited to perform
at the 2005 Holy Hip Hop Music Awards in Atlanta, GA.
Brian Shepard of Beatmart Recordings says, "Dkun Frost is truly
a man of God. I have been blessed to call him my brother in Christ,
my brother in music, and my friend. He has a heart that is willing to
use Hip-Hop as a tool in reaching today's youth with the unfailing love
of God. He has talent that I know God will use to bring people into
His Kingdom."
